In late winter of 2023, Austin, Texas-based post-whatever band GLASSING would bop their way up to Cambridge, MA to meet Morne and Author & Punisher for a 10-day tour. It’s here I would meet them and hop into the van for the longest tour I have yet to go on. The dates would swing through Canada for a few dates, GLASSING took a small DIY floor gig on the off day before coming back into the USA, down through the midwest then cutting back to the northeast. Boarded a red-eye bus from Brooklyn, NY after the gig and headed back home to Boston, MA.
GLASSING was touring in support of their forthcoming album, ‘From the Other Side of the Mirror,‘ set for release just after the tour in April via Pelagic Records. Morne had also released their fifth album in 2023, Engraved with Pain,’ through Metal Blade Records. Author & Punisher were celebrating 20 years as a band, having released full-length number seven, ‘Krüller,’ back in 2022 on Relapse Records.
