The diversity of the Bay State is incredible. From rural farmland to dune covered ocean beaches to lush forests and cranberry bogs.

Pilgrims and Witch Trials in the 1600s, the American Revolution in the 1700s, industry development during the 1800s, economic challenges, wars, and decline of manufacturing of the 1900s, to modern society. It’s where the marshmallow confectionery spread known as Fluff and the basketball were invented. Aerosmith and Rob Zombie are from here. So are writers and poets such as the likes of Edgar Allan Poe, Emily Dickenson, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and Henry David Thoreau.

Having lived in “The Baked Bean State” for my entire life, I have seen and experienced much of it. Now it’s time to photograph it.
