BANANAMASHER

BANANAMASHER

F.A.Q.

Below you can find a bunch of information regarding prints and booking information, along with several frequently asked questions.

Where did “Bananamasher” come from?

If you hike a lot, you tend to develop or be given a trail name. Well, I tend to lose bananas in my pack while traversing or otherwise squashing them before I can eat them. I have since moved on to dried banana chips.

Do you offer prints?

Yes! The Print Shop is updated often with various and limited offerings! If you are looking for a print of a particular photograph that you do not see in the Print Shop, please contact me.

Can you send me this photo so I can have it printed?

Probably not. If I do, I’m probably going to ask quite a bit, most likely the equivalent of getting the print through me. I’ve taken the time to process my photographs in a manner that fits certain print characteristics with a print shop that offers museum-quality printing.

Color band shots?

Negative, all music photographs released are monochrome and no color photographs will be offered. Black and white is timeless.

Thanks for shooting my band, can we use the photos?

Please credit when sharing on social media! If the band would like to use the photograph(s) more officially, or for promotional/print use please contact me.

All of your photos are landscape, do you shoot portrait?

I do not. All photographs will be in landscape orientation.

Hey, you shot my band during a concert, but where are the photos?

Full sets may be found on NefariousRealm.com. However, I shoot anywhere from 3-12+ concerts a month and therefore tend to get backlogged quite quickly. If your band wants their photos quickly – you may want to throw a few bucks/merch my way. Otherwise, I’ll eventually get to them.

I booked you for a shoot, how do I pay you?

Venmo is @bananamasher. Cash is king.

When will I receive the photographs?

Usually 3-6 weeks, but can take up to 3 months. If you need them faster or guaranteed by a certain date – a monetary offering to the Editing Gods is necessary. Once ready, a downlink will be sent to you.

I do not want to wait, can you send me the RAW files?

Nope.

Is it cool to edit or alter your photographs?

No. Unless you are working the photograph into a marketing design (this would be included in the license offered to you), then you may not crop, re-edit, adjust colors, or otherwise manipulate any photographs in any way. Only posers crop out watermarks.

Do you shoot weddings?

I do not, usually. I refuse to pose people as I feel that removes truth and emotion, especially on such an occasion as a wedding. With that in mind, if you are interested in booking me for a more non-traditional style to capture your wedding, the price starts at $6,000 and requires a minimum of a 90-day notice.

Where is ________ location?

I’m not telling you. A lot of the places I photograph are open and available to the public, and are most likely mentioned in the accompanying journal entry/social media post or could be easily Googled. If not, well, you can try asking Assistant Director Skinner for the file…

Can you plan a road trip or an adventure for me?

Maybe! Give me a shout and tell me a little about what you are looking to do. There’s a good chance I can create an experience catered just for you or your group.

My band would like a tour photographer, are you available?

Short answer, yes. Please contact me to discuss compensation and a timeline. The earlier/far in advance of the tour as possible, the better.

Who owns the copyright to the photographs?

I do. Forever. Regardless if hired, bartered, paid, print sold, whatever… If It came from my camera with me triggering the shutter, the copyright belongs to only me. Select licenses and terms are offered for usage. No photographs may be used or printed without consent.
