Concerts – 2025 October

Took two trips to the 1990’s, one show featuring titans of hardcore and the other being the ultimate radio rock party. Riff City experienced a massive earthquake caused by just three bands. Celebrated Halloween by catching a classic horror movie score performed live.

The month would begin with a sold-out super show featuring hardcore’s most influential bands with Integrity, Judge, and Earth Crisis. Each band brought blistering sets. Integrity started with “Vocal Test” in case nobody was awake, other songs include “Psychological Warfare,” “Systems Overload,” “Judgement Day,” and ending with the Misfits’ “Hybrid Moments.” New York City Hardcore juggernauts Judge performed “Take Me Away,” “Bringin’ It Down,” “Hear Me,” “Forget This Time,” “New York Crew,” and closed their set with a rendition of “Warriors” by Blitz. Earth Crisis would open with “Forced March,” they also played “Gomorrah’s Season Ends,” “Born From Pain,” “Vegan for the Animals,” and “Firestorm” then slipped in a Path of Resistance cover of “Counter” for an encore.

Widowmaker Brewing in Braintree, Massachusetts, would once again host a heavy shindig, this time with Chained to the Bottom of the Ocean, Glacier, and Mollusk, by far one of the heaviest and sonically loudest nights for the taproom. The Dregs Liquid Lightshow once again provided visual stimulation.

The same night as the Boston Bruins had a game at the Garden, the venue built along the side of the stadium, Big Night Live, would host alternative rockers Everclear as they toured with noisemakers in Local H and the rock’n’rollers in Sponge.

Ended the month with Halloween spirit by catching Claudio Simonetti’s Goblin performing ‘Deep Red.’ The composer, accompanied by a band consisting of a guitarist, bassist, and drummer, would perform the score to the 1975 horror film as it was played, performing the music in real time as it occurred in the murder-mystery classic.
