The plan is to fly in Nashville, Tennesse and settle in to get ready for four days of non-stop exploring. The road trip brings me to four states, Alabama, Illinois, Kentucky, and Tennessee, all of which I have yet to step foot in. Unlike most of my other road trips where I have gone in gigantic loops, this time I will have a base camp, in the form of a retired tour bus just outside of Nashville.
Day One will take me to the most southern tip of Illinois to explore a “ghost town” and Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area in Kentucky. I will also get to touch the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers.
Day Two brings me south into another unexplored state to Huntsville, Alabama where the day will be spent brewery hopping checking out the U.S. Space & Rocket Center.
Day Three and Four are dedicated to wandering around Nashville with several breweries, record shops, museums, and a few other locations of interest, plus hopefully shooting a show. How could I experience “Music City” without some music?
